Every year, Business Traveller Hungary recognizes the most outstanding business tourism service providers of the previous year. In 2021, Malom és Kacsa Restaurant & Event Venue received the great honor of being nominated for one of the Business Excellence Awards in the category of BEST NEW MARKET ENTRANT – EVENT VENUE. Thanks to the votes we received, the nomination turned into a victory, and we were officially awarded the BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR BEST NEW MARKET ENTRANT – EVENT VENUE.

Thanks to the votes we received, the nomination has been converted into an award and we are officially the winner of the BUSINESS EXCELLENCE Award for Best New Market Operator - Venue!
It is a great honor for us that we are not only one of the founding members of the Modern & Stylish Country Business Community, but this year - in 2024 - on the first birthday of the community's establishment, we won the award for the best location based on the members' votes!
We are proud that Malom és Kacsa Bistro received the BEST OF BUDAPEST AWARD in the category BEST NEW RESTAURANTS in 2025. “Best of Budapest & Hungary” is an independent rating system founded 27 years ago by Budapest Week Publishing to draw attention to Hungary’s finest hosts, hotels, restaurants, and service providers. The BEST OF BUDAPEST & HUNGARY AWARD is widely regarded as a benchmark of quality. The award is presented to service providers from both Budapest and the Hungarian countryside that consistently deliver outstanding standards. Among the winners are numerous four- and five-star hotels, restaurants across various categories, and other service providers that enrich everyday life for residents and visitors throughout Hungary.

What Is the Business Excellence Award?
The Business Excellence Award was established by Turizmus Kft. to recognize Hungarian business tourism service providers that have demonstrated outstanding performance in the fields of corporate and business travel, event organization, and business accommodation services during the previous period.
In 2025, the award was presented for the 15th time, and more than 90 applications were submitted across various categories, highlighting the prestige and recognition associated with the award.

“Rural Heritage Business of the Year 2025” – An Award for Preserving Rural Values
At the Rural Entrepreneurs’ Night – powered by Volkswagen gala held on November 11, we were honored with the title “RURAL HERITAGE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR 2025” in the medium-sized business category. In addition, we became the first comprehensive tourism enterprise in Hungary to receive the internationally recognized GREEN BRANDS sustainability certification.
Malom és Kacsa Boutique Hotel • Bistro • Events has been awarded the GREEN BRANDS environmental sustainability label. This certification confirms that the company integrates heritage preservation, innovation, and sustainability into its operations as a unified approach. It serves as an example within Hungarian tourism of how environmentally conscious development can be implemented in practice and what sustainable tourism can truly look like.
This certification is not only an award, but also an important milestone: Malom és Kacsa is the first comprehensive tourism enterprise in Hungary to receive this internationally recognized and independently verified sustainability certification across the combined areas of hospitality, accommodation, and event services.
